Drag Queen Story Time at Rochester Minnesota’s Art Center
The Rochester Art Center has a free, fun family-friendly event lined up for Saturday, March 12th. It's called Drag Story Time, and it's exactly what it sounds like. A drag queen will read storybooks to kids in attendance.
Famous Midwest Drag Queen Miss Anita Tiara to Read Stories
Miss Anita Tiara may be best known as the founder and hostess of Rochester's Drag Queen Bingo, which has raised over $10,000 for Rochester area churches and non-profits. Since being crowned winner of the Miss Rochester Pageant in 2000, she's toured Minnesota and Wisconsin at shows pride festivals.
After Tiara reads storybooks, there will be craft activities "fit for royalty" with gold crowns and colorful scepters, according to the Rochester Art Center press release.
5 Things You Don't Want to Step In On A Minnesota Farm
There will be two sessions, 11 AM AND 1 PM, so if you'd like to attend, it's free, but you do need to register ahead of time at the Drag Story Time event page (Click HERE). Space is limited.
You also get gallery admission with your registration, so you'll be able to check out the current exhibits:

It's Almost Springtime in Minnesota
I never thought about it before, but there really are 10 phases to Spring...and I love every one of them (almost).
