Drama Time – Was This Rochester’s Worst Bachelorette Party?
"Molly" is in the Drama Time spotlight today. She sent me an email about some drama over a bachelorette party.
This happened to me this past weekend. A friend is getting married and she invited me to her bachelorette party a few weeks ago. Now, we are not the best of friends but I used to live with her ex-husband (he was strictly a roomie) and their kids, so I'm always connected to her through kid stuff. OK, that's here nor there, but we are close enough.
Anyway, she called me the day before her bachelorette party asking me to NOT attend bc MY ex's girlfriend would be there. I agreed, but as the bride, don't you get to invite whomever you want?
After seeing all the pics on social media, I'm kinda p----ed that my ex's girlfriend won in this situation!!
What the heck? Unless the bride-to-be had a GREAT reason to invite her friend's ex's girlfriend, it is totally out of line to disinvite her. Hate to say it, but it sounds like the bride is just not that into a Molly Friendship.
Got me thinking back to all the bachelorette parties I've been a part of (as a DJ, you'd be surprised how many you're invited to). There's always some crazy drama. My favorite was when the 65-year
Back in 2003, on a Wednesday night (that's right, Rookie's Ladies Night), a 63-old mother-in-law, who HATED the bride, insisted on being invited to the bachelorette party. The maid-of-honor told me they'd been bar hopping and the MIL was trying to ruin the night. And she pretty much succeeded when they got to Rookie's and MIL made out with the best man on the dance floor! The best man's girlfriend was part of the bachelorette party!
So much drama. It was awesome.
Can you beat this for wedding-related drama?
