Albert Lea, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Austin man is being held on a criminal vehicular homicide charge stemming from the death of another Austin man over the weekend.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Department says 26-year-old Nathan Brooks is accused of being the driver of an SUV that struck and fatally injured 30-year-old Alex Tapp Saturday night while he was attending a small party in a pasture at a farm several miles northwest of Austin. Officials say Brooks allegedly left the scene, but surrendered to the Sheriff’s Department on Sunday.
