Golf For Good 2026: What Rochester Golfers Need To Know Before Teeing Off
Something you'll see quite often in Rochester are people standing on corners holding up cardboard signs...asking for help.
You've seen them. I've seen them. While some people have looked the other way as they approach those corners, hoping to ignore all possibilities of eye contact, others have taken a moment to stop and help.

Ken is one of the guys that you may have seen the past 13 years in Rochester...holding up one of those signs. He's experienced homelessness in Olmsted County and as he says, “I’ve probably made over 100 of these signs over the years. You can maybe make them last for a week before they bend and are no good, anymore.”
Quite a few people stopped throughout the years to help Ken. And just a few weeks ago, he now has his own place at The Salvation Army Castleview Apartments.
Yes...someone who was homeless in the Rochester community now has a roof over their head. While Ken had to take quite a few steps himself to make this happen, this new place...his new home...was possible thanks to a few who decided to go golfing.
A fun day at a golf course is happening again this summer and every swing is doing good - helping people in our community have a chance to have a home. Below is everything you need to know about the Golf for Good Tournament.
