Good People Making Bad Movies

He tops the list of actors that make the worst movies. I'm not sure that Rob Schneider is a Leading Man. He's more comic relief. And a little Rob Schneider goes a long way. I liked him in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York as the wacky bellhop Cedric; but everywhere else, he's just annoying. Like in Sylvester Stallone's version of Judge Dredd. He was funny in Adam Sandler's Bedtime Stories. Everywhere else he's pretty much the same, like the character Ula he plays in 50 First Dates, with Sandler and Drew Barrymore. He's a funny actor, but I don't think I could sit through one of his movies.

Adam Sandler comes in right behind Rob Schneider. He's kind of hit or miss. Some of his earlier movies are hilarious. I liked Click, Bedtime Stories, 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer. But he made You Don't Mess With The Zohan, which sounds like it should be funny... Unless it's Hotel Transylvania, I'm not so sure I want to see any of his newer movies.

Ashton Kutcher was hilarious as Actor Boyfriend Hank in Steve Martin's Cheaper By The Dozen. I liked The Guardian, with Kevin Costner, too. And with Tom Selleck and Katherine Heigl in Killers. That's only three of his movies. I think I saw Dude, Where's My Car? but I can't remember it...

Topping the list of actresses that make the worst films is Jennifer Love Hewitt. The only movies I've seen that she's been in is Garfield - and that was because of Bill Murray - and Tropic Thunder. I've heard that her I Know What You Did Last Summer are pretty decent, I just haven't gotten around to watching them. I'd probably watch The Tuxedo...but more for Jackie Chan's outrageous moves.

I guess Jessica Alba makes movies that are for kids. My kids and I liked Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World. I liked her in the first two Fantastic Four movies. I've read where she and maybe Ioan Gruffudd were miscast as Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. I think the only thing wrong with the Fantastic Four movies is they can't seem to get Doctor Doom right. She did make The Love Guru with Mike Meyers, so I do have trust issues when it comes to her movies.

Katherine Heigl is probably my wife's favorite actress. She comes in third as an actress that makes the worst movies. What I like about movies like Killers, is that I can count on her to play the same character in every movie she's in. That's Ever. Movie. She. Makes. She's always uptight and faced with a male co-star that forces her to let her hair down, cut loose, relax and not be so tightly wound and high strung. By the end of the movie she's transformed into a more happy-go-lucky, free-wheeling Fun Girl. I'm not so sure it's a good thing to say, if you've seen one of her movies, you've seen them all...
