Grocery Store In Rochester Is Closing Their Doors
Just when we thought all of the store closings were over, Rochester has another one being added to the list.
It was reported by KTTC that Fareway Food Stores located by the Best Buy on 41st Street NW in Rochester will be closing their doors in August. The store is known for great prices, excellent meat counter, and top notch service.
I grew up with a Fareway in my hometown in Fort Dodge, Iowa and it is where we always went for groceries. Even today, when I need to get something for the smoker or stock the pantry up on all the necessities...it is my go-to because I know the prices are amazing.
If this has been your go-to store as well, the good news is that the Fareway Food Store in Rochester is actually moving to the new location in Byron, which will be opening up soon. Another location is also still open in Stewartville. The drive is a bit too far for me for both of those stores but if you are in those areas, consider yourself lucky.
