Halloween Candy and Costumes
More people say they're going to be doing this for Halloween this year - are you going to be one them?
Now that store shelves have been cleared of all the backpacks, notebooks, science calculators and yellow highlighters, those empty shelves have been filled with Halloween candy!
Brach's has three new flavor's of Candy Corn this year. I loves me some Candy Corn! I think I'm the only one in the house that loves Candy Corn. It's like the Peanut Butter of candy, when it sticks to your teeth and the roof of your mouth! The new flavors are called Brunch Favorites. There's French Toast with Maple Syrup; Waffles with Strawberries; and, Chocolate Chip Pancakes.
These are all tasty and delectable flavors! But are they "Chocolate and Peanut Butter" winning good? I know a lot of people that don't like the taste of Candy Corn. Will flavoring them like this be a trick or treat?
Right next to the Halloween candy is usually the Halloween costumes. Y'know, for convenience. Last year was the first year I was uninvited to accompany my boys trick-or-treating. They went with their friends. I'm not sure if they've outgrown trick-or-treating just yet. Halloween seems more like a big deal for adults. Halloween parties and costume contests that parents and adults go to and all.
More people are saying that this year, they're going to be dressing up their pet for Halloween. It's been a few years since I last emceed a costume contest for pets. My first time, I remember it was open to all pets - and a horse was entered! More people will be dressing up their pets in costume for Halloween this year, and even more people will be getting treats and toys for them, too!
I guess we'll have to have two bowls; one for the ghouls and goblins, and one for the hell-hounds.
Do you take your pets along with your kids trick-or-treating, or is that just way too much to manage?
