I have always been an adventurous one and when I had the opportunity to move to a different part of the country for a new job, I jumped on that real fast. So my goal was to explore as much of Minnesota as I possibly could and call it 'Paisley’s Packed Summer!' Well... it has been a Packed Summer. So packed I've forgotten to blog about many of the things I have done. Now that I have time to breathe, it time to fill you in on things I've seen and done. I walked in the RochesterFest Parade, I have got to go hike a few trails, I've eaten at some AMAZING restaurants and have met some of you at Pepsi stops across Southeastern Minnesota. There's still a lot of summers left, so I thought I would highlight one of my favorite stops so far.

I have never announced a parade before, so I thought I would talk about the Hayfield Fire Department Chicken Fry Parade. The drive to Hayfield was beautiful! I saw a lot of cows which made me happy and I even saw a lot of cool barns along the way. On this adventure, I had a friend tag along. The one and only James Rabe who does mornings on Y-105FM.

What did we do on this adventure? I announced my very first parade! I’m not going to lie, I was a tad nervous about announcing the parade, but James gave me a lot of great pointers to make it smooth. I had a background in television, but the one thing I hated about TV was scripts! We had a few scripts we had to read, but otherwise, we just had fun talking about the floats. My favorite float was the little chicken and firefighter. Look how cute!!

After the parade, I got the opportunity to talk to a lot of you which was amazing. I had so much fun chatting with you about Hayfield and all the events happening that weekend. Kathy told me her favorite event was the street dance Friday night. The two kiddos in the picture below told me they were really excited to have some chicken with the firefighters later! Hopefully next year I can check out some of the other events.
