How Much (or How Little!) Exercise Does Your Heart Need?
Because it's the day after the beginning of the horrible and needless Daylight Saving Time AND a Monday, I'm hopeful no one will judge me on my motivation or lack thereof when it comes to getting exercise crossed off my to-do list.
Check this out! A new study shows that even just walking up the stairs at your workplace or at home for 30 total minutes A WEEK shows an increase in heart health. If you've ever heard that every five or ten minutes of exercise makes a difference in your overall health, this study proves that point to be true. So let's get cracking and hit the stairs instead of the elevator.
And then take a nap. It's Monday. You've earned it!
