Are You Watering Your Mums the Wrong Way in Minnesota?
I LOVE this time of year. The leaves on the trees in my yard are turning into these glorious colors. They aren't gorgeous enough to make me want to rake them all up...but I do love looking at them.
I also love mums! I grabbed a few from Costco the other day and not only are they extremely large BUT they smell amazing. It felt like "fall" in my car because of those flowers.
I've been doing my best to keep my new-to-me mums alive and learned this morning that there is a WRONG way to water mums. It's true and there is a good chance you are guilty of this. (Quite a few places selling mums are too!). To save your mums from nastiness, I've got the right and wrong ways to water below.

After you pick up your mum from your favorite store, place it in the perfect spot by your front door, you are probably going to need to give it a good soak! Before you turn that hose on though, use these tips to ensure that you are watering your mums correctly:
If you water your mums on top of the flowers, there is a chance that this can cause fungal growth due to the leaves staying wet.
