Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News)- Six people are in custody following a major fentanyl bust in southern Minnesota

Members of multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant that led to the discovery of the deadly drug on Saturday. 

Authorities seized thousands of counterfeit painkillers that tested positive for fentanyl from the home targeted by the search warrant.

The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office says the drug raid occurred in Mankato. The address of the bust is not listed in a news release that was issued on Sunday.

The six suspects were arrested on suspicion of first-degree drug sales and first-degree drug possession. They have been identified as:

  • 30-year-old Howard Junior Beacham 
  • 29-year-old Kane Alan Vanraalte 
  • 29-year-old Daniel David Schultz 29
  • 30-year-old Nyapuot Dech Kuek 
  • 26-year-old Wynter Sophia Harrison
  • 40-year-old Levone William Adams 

Officials say nearly 6,000 of the fentanyl-laced pills were seized from the home. 

The news release says the massive drug seizure was crucial to aid the ongoing effort to prevent further harm caused by the opioid epidemic.
