Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News)- An infant was injured in a crash at an interchange along Hwy. 52 in southeast Minnesota Friday afternoon.

The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly after 6:20 p.m. Two vehicles were involved in the collision. 

The crash occurred at the intersection at the top of the Hwy. 52/Hwy. 60 West interchange in Zumbrota

A van that had exited northbound Hwy. 52 was attempting to turn left onto Hwy. 60 when it and a car heading west on collided in the intersection, the state crash report says

A male baby riding in the van was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment of what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.

31-year-old Nicolle Carol Peltier of Faribault was driving the van. She and the other driver, 20-year-old Kaylyn Rae Westerberg from Goodhue, escaped the crash without injuries

 All three people were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, according to the report. 

The Zumbrota Police Department, Zumbrota Ambulance and Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.
