Responding officers found a man believed to be in his 40’s suffering from what were described as life-threatening gunshot wounds inside of a running vehicle. Life-saving measures to save the gunshot victim were unsuccessful and he died at the scene, police say.

The victim’s body has been taken to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identification. Minneapolis homicide investigators responded to the scene and the Minneapolis Police Forensic Division began collecting evidence.
