Minnesota Child Pornography Investigation Leads to Arrest of Rochester Man
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Rochester Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a child pornography investigation that opened earlier this year.
That’s according to Rochester Police Captain Casey Moilanen. He said the investigation started when police received an Internet Crimes Against Children tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Jan. 3.
Limited information is available, however Moilanen identified the man arrested as a result of the investigation as 31-year-old Brandyn Kane of Rochester. He was taken into custody on Thursday.
Moilanen said the tip included information that indicated the possession and dissemination of child pornography was involved.
Kane was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography.
Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate Kane was booked into the jail shortly before 9:30 a.m.
No further information is being released at this time. Kane’s first court appearance has not yet been scheduled.
