
11 New Officers Sworn in by the Rochester Police Department
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Minnesota’s third-largest police department welcomed nearly a dozen new officers earlier this week.

11 new Rochester police officers were sworn in during a ceremony held Thursday night at the Rochester Art Center, located in the Mayo Civic Center.

Rochester Police Department Welcomes 11 New Officers During Swearing-in Ceremony
Eight of the officers took their oath of office and three lateral officers were formally introduced to the department.
The ceremony included remarks from Rochester Police Chief Jim Franklin. A crowd of family, friends and colleagues attended the swearing-in.
“Thanks to the training team and big congratulations to the new officers - we look forward to your courageous policing “with heart”, as the Chief shared,” Rochester Mayor Kim Norton wrote on her personal public figure Facebook page.

"Each officer chose someone special to pin on their badge, a meaningful tradition that symbolizes the support systems standing behind every officer and the shared commitment to serve our community," a Rochester Police Department Facebook post says.
