Coon Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two more people have been arrested in connection with a triple homicide that occurred in the Twin Cities last month.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office today announced that 19-year-old Omari Malik Shumpert and 31-year-old Demetrius Trenton Shumpert of Minneapolis were taken into custody on Tuesday. Both men have been charged with three counts of second-degree murder.

The same charges were previously filed against 37-year-old Alonzo Mingo for the shooting deaths of 39-year-old Mario Alberto Trejo Estrada, 42-year-old Shannon Patricia Jungwirth, and 20-year-old Jorge Reyes-Jungwirth.

The three victims were found dead in their Coon Rapids home after Coon Rapids Police and Anoka County Deputies responded to an open 911 call from the residence in the early afternoon of January 26. All three victims had been shot in the head. Two young children, under the age of five, were also in the house but were not harmed.

According to the criminal complaint, there were several surveillance cameras installed in the house and a pole camera was located across the street. The videos from the outside camera show three suspects exiting a vehicle and entering the home. Two of the men were dressed in what appeared to be UPS delivery driver uniforms and one was carrying a box.

The charges also indicate that a camera inside the home recorded video of Mingo murdering the 42-year-old woman in the bedroom. It also shows the two young children entering the room and witnessing the aftermath.

The pole camera outside the home allowed investigators to view the vehicle used by the suspects, which was registered to Mingo. The criminal complaint says he was alone in the vehicle when it was later stopped by police in nearby Fridley.

The court document says investigators later reviewed recordings made by some "Ring Cameras" that were installed throughout the main floor of the home where the triple homicide took place. The videos show Mingo and the two other men holding the three victims at gunpoint.

The complaint alleges one of the videos captured Omari Shumpert pistol-whipping one of the victims before shooting him in the front entryway to the house. It also says Demetrius Shumpert is seen holding the two other victims at gunpoint and pistol-whipping the victims.

Bail for both men has been set at $5 million each, matching Mingo’s current bail amount.
