Chip Shots in Rochester is Making Big Changes, Getting Rid of Pickleball
Chip Shots in Rochester, MN has some big changes on the way. They are going to be getting rid of their pickleball courts soon.
I had heard a rumor a few weeks ago that something was going on at Chip Shots. It wasn't clear if they were closing or if they were going to make a big change. I shot a message over to them to see what was going on.
They first clarified that they aren't going anywhere. Then they mentioned that new and exciting things were happening soon and that they'd reach back out when they were ready for it to be publicized.

Why Chip Shots in Rochester, MN is Getting Rid of Pickleball
Just yesterday, I got word about the big news: That they are removing the pickleball courts in order to expand their golf and multi-sport simulator options, as well as their dining and event offerings.
I was kind of shocked! As mentioned in their announcement (which I have below), pickleball is still a massive sport around Rochester and the country. But they saw even bigger growth in their simulators, dining, and events.
They write that, before the transition, "Chip Shots plans to celebrate its pickleball roots in style. The coming months will be filled with tournaments, events, and plenty of chances for players to get in a few more smashes, digs, and dinks."
