Apparently, Lady Luck hasn’t left the area yet. Another huge win just happened across the state line at Diamond Jo Casino, right off I-35 in Northwood, Iowa. Last Thursday, a Minnesota man stopped by the casino and turned a tiny bet into a life-changing payout.

Minnesota Man Wins $215,127 at Diamond Jo Casino

Diamond Jo features more than 800 slot machines, 22 table games, and a sportsbook. This time, the big winner was playing at the Ultimate Texas Hold ’Em table.

On Thursday, February 12, around 1 p.m., a Lakeville man identified only as “Lee” placed a $1 progressive side bet. That small wager turned into the hand of a lifetime.

Lee was dealt the Queen and Jack of hearts. When the flop came down the Ace, King, and 10 of hearts, his heart must have skipped a beat. You can only imagine the shock and excitement he felt in that moment. The Royal Flush triggered a $215,127 jackpot. (See the check presentation below.)

He told casino officials he’d been chasing that jackpot for years and had a feeling his luck would finally show up that afternoon. Safe to say, he was right. Lee still isn't sure how he's going to spend the $215,000 yet, but he says he and his wife will “find something fun to do with it.”
