The annual winter event near the Minnesota Vikings training facility in Eagan is happening once again this year! They have lots of fun activities and events planned to give you something fun to do this winter.

I think this may be only the second time that they've done this. It's called Winter SKOLstice and I've never been there myself but the events sound really fun and look super cool.

This would be a great event to check out when it's been gloomy out for a little bit, maybe you've been cooped up inside and need to get out and do something fun. There are a lot of options at the Winter SKOLstice.

Activities at Winter SKOLstice

Winer SKOLstice is open now through February 25th but they are closed January 1-4. Every day they have free outdoor ice skating (unless you don't have your own skates, that's $5 per pair). Hours are Monday-Wednesday 4-9pm, Thursday-Saturday 4-10pm, and Sunday 3-10pm.

They also have a Warming Haus open at the same time if you get a little chilly and need a break.

On the weekends they also have a Winter Market. Vendors will be open Friday-Saturday 5-9pm and Sunday 3-8pm.

For the holidays, they have the Magic of Lights Drive-Thru Experience. That's open now through December 31st Monday through Thursday from 5:30PM – 9:00PM and Friday through Sunday from 5:30PM – 10:00PM.

After the holidays they'll have an ice maze and curling! Those are available starting January 5th through February 25th. The ice maze will be open each day.

Minnesota’s Longest Drive-Thru Light Show

The Kiwanis Holiday Light Display is free to the public but cash and non-perishable food donations are accepted. All money collected is given to area non-profits. Since opening in 2012 the event has raised more than $500,000 for local charities.
