
Minnesota Law Enforcement Pursuit Ends With Death of Fleeing Girl
Upon initiating a traffic stop, the juvenile fled and the deputy initiated a pursuit.
Grand Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News)- A juvenile female died after crashing during a law enforcement pursuit in northern Minnesota.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Authorities say the deadly incident occurred around 1:30 Sunday morning.

Juvenile Killed After Crashing During Law Enforcement Pursuit Near Grand Rapids, MN
The preliminary investigation indicates a deputy spotted the girl’s vehicle traveling without its headlights activated on Itasca County Rd. 63 west of Grand Rapids.
Upon initiating a traffic stop, the juvenile fled and the deputy initiated a pursuit. The pursuit ended when the girl crashed the vehicle at the intersection of Hwy. 6 and County Rd. 11, the news release says.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and was not buckled up, according to the news release.
"We are deeply saddened by this motor vehicle crash that resulted in the loss of life and extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this tragedy. We ask the public to keep those impacted in their thoughts and to respect the privacy of those involved during this incredibly difficult time." said Itasca County Sheriff Joe Dasovich.
The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve asked the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to investigate the deadly crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol is working on reconstructing the fatal incident.
