Kat Von D has broken her silence amid rumors that she is both an anti-vaxxer and is anti-Semitic.

The tattoo artist addressed the drama in a YouTube video, called "I am NOT a nazi. I am NOT anti-vaxx," released on March 14. In the video, the former LA Ink star said she originally planned to abstain from vaccinating her son, and said as much when asked on Instagram while pregnant. She went on to explain that while she "had some hesitancy," after learning the ingredients in some vaccinations, she consulted a doctor.

"Back when I was pregnant, somebody asked me on Instagram if we were vaccinating our baby, and after doing a bunch of research and doing the ingredients, naturally I had some hesitancy," Kat said. "Since then we have decided to consult with – as parents – with our pediatrician, but unlike before, I have learned my lesson and I am choosing not to make our decision or any of our baby's health records public."

Her video comments were in reference to her son Leafar, whom she and husband Leafar Seyer welcomed in December 2018. According to Us Weekly, Kat faced backlash for saying during her pregnancy that she and Seyer wanted to raise "a vegan child, without vaccinations."

The video also addressed claims Kat is anti-Semitic, which started online after she got her own Miami Ink spinoff. The reality TV star said she "was falsely branded" as such, and struggled with that label. She admitted in the clip, "I remember the network's publicist just told me to stay quiet and let it go away." Having a son has changed how she views the situation, she said.

"I have a son now and seeing all of these awful comments and the things people are saying, I can't just sit around and pretend it's going to go away. ... I just want to move on and I want to move forward," she said.
