Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Another candidate has announced plans to run for Rochester mayor this year.

Former Rochester state legislator and school board member Kim Norton made the official announcement late Sunday night in a press release.

“I am very pleased to announce my intention to seek the community’s support for the position of Mayor of Rochester in the coming November 2018 election.

I believe my experienced leadership will be beneficial to our community during this time of growth and change.”

Norton is the fourth person to publicly declare for the seat held now by Ardell Brede, who recently announced he will not seek a new team.
