Live Music Is Back In Downtown Rochester!

Covid-19 put an enormous dent in Rochester's Downtown fun and, of course, business. Then construction added to it. But that's changing, thanks to the Rochester Downtown Alliance and the Sidewalk Sessions Music Series.
What is the SSMS? It's local and regional musicians performing in different spots around downtown...every weekday. Scroll down for the schedule (which runs thru October weather permitting).
Holly Masek, RDA executive director, said,
“We know our community has missed the sounds of Thursdays Downtown, Down by the
Riverside, Olmsted County Fair, Rochesterfest, and other major musical events that were cancelled because of COVID-19...Music is a hallmark of summer in Rochester, and we’re glad to bring it back in some way for these last few beautiful months of September and October.”
These won't be full on concerts. They'll be small, casual performances, with funding coming from Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funding through the City of Rochester and financial assistance from Destination Medical Center.
