Man Arrested After Late Night Police Pursuit in Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Not one, not two, but three law enforcement agencies were involved in a police chase in Rochester Thursday. A Rochester patrol officer tried to make a traffic stop in the area of 6th St and 9th Ave SE around 11:30 PM. The driver took off and made his way to Highway 14. The officer broke off the chase but an Olmsted County deputy spotted the vehicle a few minutes later and pursued it on County Rd 11. The deputy decided to end the chase as the vehicle headed to Highway 52 south of Rochester.
A state trooper began chasing the car a short while later and stop sticks were deployed near Apache Mall. The car continued until it came to a stop near the Miracle Mile Shopping Center. The driver was arrested and could multiple charges. He has been identified as 32-year-old Ryan Vangness of Canton.
