Last Saturday, fire stations all over Minnesota held collections for homemade masks and today, we've got the number of how many masks were donated.  You may want to sit down for this number.

Rochester's Mayor, Kim Norton, gave a great big 'Thank You' to Rochester on her Facebook page as she announced the number of masks donated.

THANK YOU, ROCHESTER! Fire Chief Kerska reports that approximately 4,036 homemade masks were donated yesterday! They will be prioritized to those working in direct care jobs first - this will have a huge impact in our community. 💙💙💙 What a wonderful, compassionate and caring community we live in! - Kim Norton - Mayor of Rochester, MN

According to the Rochester, MN Fire Dept. Facebook page, over 150 masks were collected at the Silver Lake Firehouse and Station 3 collected about 1,000.

To everyone who donated, thank you!  If you are still making masks and would like to drop them off, the Rochester Fire Stations are still collecting them and are open 24/7.
