Mercedes-Benz of Rochester to Build New Service Center

Another investment in a currently operating business in Rochester is good news for the local economy. This time, it's the Mercedes-Benz of Rochester with plans to grow. They've filed plans to build a 14,000-square-foot facility.

According to the paperwork filed with the City of Rochester, Minnesota, the luxury car dealer is building a $2.5 million, 14,000-square-foot "automotive vehicle service shop and detail center.” The estimated value of the project is $2.5 million.

Had to do some map work to figure out where it'll be...turns out the new service center will be in the Shoppes on Maine area, but not close at all to the Mercedes dealership.

Mercedes of Rochester is currently owned by Napleton Auto Group of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Isn't There Another Dealership Expanding In Rochester?

There is. We reported in August of 2021, that "Rochester's Park Place Motors is going to build a brand new dealership and then demolish the buildings it currently occupies."

According to a plan submitted last week, Luther Park Place Motor Cars plans to use all the property they own along the Hiway 52 Frontage Road (that includes the former Flamingo Bingo building location). Read More: Rochester's Park Place Motors Will Demolish Current Dealership

Construction is well underway on that project.
