It's the first-known one of its kind. A butcher shop that doesn't have any meat. Yes, that's right. A meatless butcher shop. And it's in Minneapolis...

The store sells meatless meat and cheeseless cheese. All its products are made from natural heritage wheat, along with various spices that are meant to make their food taste like various meats, from spare ribs, to porterhouse steaks, to pork sausage.

The company was started by the brother and sister team of Kale and Aubry Walch, from its humble beginnings in June 2014 at the Minneapolis Farmers Market to a brick and mortar location called 'The Herbivorous Butcher,' located on First Avenue NE in Minneapolis and open six days a week. For anyone not wanting to drive up to give their food a try, they also offer some online ordering options.

The shop's popularity is growing like crazy. Not only do they often have long lines of people from near and far standing in line to buy their meatless meat products, they also had Guy Fieri in recently to film a segment for his popular Food Network TV show, 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.'

Wonder if they would give any thought to coming down some weekend to the Rochester Downtown Farmers Market here in Rochester? If they did, would you give their food a try?
