
Brutal Cold Engulfs Minnesota, Warnings & Advisories Now Issued
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Dangerously cold weather is now blanketing Minnesota.

The arctic conditions have triggered cold-weather related warnings and advisories throughout the state. Officials from the National Weather Service say frostbite can occur quickly in the chilly weather.
Highs in Rochester for the next two days are predicted to stay below zero and lows are forecasted to tumble well under 10 below zero.

Dangerous Cold Weather Blanketing Minnesota, Warnings & Advisories Issued by National Weather Service
The Majority of Minnesotans woke up to an Extreme Cold Warning on Monday, while residents of southeastern, southern and east-central Minnesota are under a Cold Weather Advisory.
Another Extreme Cold Warning, that will cover all of Minnesota, is scheduled to take effect on Monday night.
The warning says wind chills will freefall to as cold as 40 below zero by Monday night.
Officials say frostbite can occur in as little as 10 minutes on exposed skin. The Extreme Cold Warning begins at 9 p.m. in southeast Minnesota and is scheduled to expire at 10:00 Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service says.
Some of the notable lows forecasted throughout Minnesota from Monday night through Tuesday morning are 22 below zero in Rochester, 19 below zero in the Twin Cities and 31 below zero in Little Falls.
