Minnesota Has 6 Of The Best ‘Beach Towns’ In America
When you think of a “beach town”, what comes to mind? I’ll be honest, Minnesota doesn’t immediately cross my mind, mainly because I think of a random small town along an ocean coast. I think of states like California, New Jersey, or Florida. We definitely have lake towns, but do we really have beach towns? According to a new list from WalletHub, yes. Yes we do.
WalletHub recently ranked the Top 30 Best Beach Towns To Live In, and Minnesota actually has 5 spots on the list, with Eden Prairie coming in at #3. Here’s how we ranked:
- Eden Prairie, MN
- Duluth, MN
- Stillwater, MN
- Chanhassen, MN
- Cloquet, MN
- Blaine, MN
That’s pretty impressive. So what qualifies as a “good” beach town? This list took into account things like Lowest Housing Costs (where Chanhassen ranks #2), Highest Median Household Income (Chanhassen at #1), Lowest Median Income Annual Property Taxes, and more. You can take a look at the full list here, which also further explains how this list was put together. No wonder Prince loved living in Minnesota so much.
Pretty cool that Minnesota did so well – if you’re looking for a beach, you don’t have to go too far!
