St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - A member of the Minnesota National Guard is awaiting sentencing for his conviction on a federal child pornography charge.

28-year-old Andrew Schiller, of Lakeville, has pleaded guilty to a single count of production of child pornography. He was indicted in March on a charge that alleged he convinced a 14-year-old girl in Minnesota to send him at least one sexually explicit photo of herself while he was deployed in Afghanistan for several months in 2013.

Federal prosecutors say Schiller also admitted he contacted other underage girls online with requests for sexually explicit photos and videos. The indictment also alleged that he sent them sexually explicit images of himself and offered them money and alcohol if they filled his requests.
