Minnesota’s Best City for Veterans Is About 60 Minutes Away
With over 19 million veterans living in the USA, what city is the best? What makes a city the best? Both good questions. WalletHub tried to figure it out.
"WalletHub compared the 100 most populated U.S. cities across four key dimensions: 1) Employment, 2) Economy, 3) Quality of Life and 4) Health. In determining our sample, we considered only the “city proper” in each case, excluding surrounding cities in the metro area."
So where's the best city? The Top Five:
1 Tampa, FL
2 Austin, TX
3 Orlando, FL
4 Raleigh, NC
5 Scottsdale, AR
Minneapolis comes in at #32, which is pretty good, especially compared to St. Paul, #71. How 'bout North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa? Nope. But Madison, WI came in at #11. Kudos, Mad-Town!
Of course, this list isn't definitive. Military Times says the Top Three Best Places for Vets to Live are,
Large Cities - Colorado Springs, CO
Medium Cities - Alexandria, Virginia
Small Cities - Portsmouth, Virginia
Interestingly enough, Woodbury (12), Plymouth (25), Bloomington (27), and Egan (40), Minnesota all made the list, but not Minneapolis or St. Paul.
