Minnesota’s Most Colorful Experience is A Short Drive from Rochester
Winter in Minnesota can be tough for parents with young children. You don't want to lock your family up in your house, but finding fun indoor activities to do with your kids can be a challenge. Over the holiday break we finally took our kids up to the Mall of America to check out the Crayola Experience and they had a blast!
The 60,000 sq ft. attraction has several fun stations for your kids to enjoy. They say the average family spends 3-4 hours onsite enjoying all of the fun. Some of the highlights include:
Melt & Mold: Your kid gets to melt a crayon into a racecar, ring, or seahorse.
Be the Star: Take a selfie with your family and it will be printed in coloring book form for your kids to take home and color.
Rainbow Room to get doused with melting wax. No one will get burned - it's all digital.
Drip Art: Your kids can create a spiral masterpiece by loading their favorite crayon color into the machine that melts it and spins the drippings onto the paper below.
Color Playground- A giant 2-story Crayola themed playground.
