Miss Minnesota’s Prince Shoes

Miss Minnesota, Madeline Van Ert, returned home yesterday without the Miss America crown, but with a pretty swell prize, Miss Congeniality! There really IS something to that whole "Minnesota Nice" thing that we talk about in our state.

In coming days, I'm sure we'll hear some neat stories from this Rochester native and University of Minnesota student.

One of the fun events they host during the days leading up to the competition is the "Show Us Your Shoes" parade. It started years ago when the crowd along the parade route would yell "Show us your shoes!" when the parade went past. Crazy Atlantic City...
