Forecasters are warning travel conditions could get very nasty Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of southeastern and east-central Minnesota because strong winds are forecast to develop and cause considerable blowing and drifting snow in open areas. A blizzard warning has been posted for a big area of south-central and central Minnesota, where white-out conditions could occur. Albert Lea and Owatonna are included in the blizzard warning. A wind chill advisory has also been posted through Wednesday morning because the “feels like” readings could reach 35 below zero.
