It wasn't up for very long, but as I was driving home from work one evening last December I noticed a beautiful picture painted on the side of the 6th street SW bridge in Rochester. On Tuesday evening, I noticed it had returned but with one disturbing change...

There's no other way to put it right now - Downtown Rochester is a MESS. It feels like our KROC studios are on an island with all the construction around us and all the traffic is being forced to zig-zag all over the place. Even as I leave work every evening at 6 p.m. I've noticed an increase in motorists taking 6th street SW towards Highway 52 and it's basically stop and go driving until you reach the frontage roads... but as I came to a stop at the bridge I once again saw a picture painted/pasted on the side of what looked to be something similar to before, only it wasn't...

Creepy, right?! Here's an eerie before and after shot from what I saw in December compared to yesterday:

I'm sure many of you have the same thought I'm having like, what does it mean?!

Did something happen to this person between now and this past winter? Is this a warning to drive more carefully? There's a hundred different ways you can interpret the picture, and that's the beauty in creating art such as this, but what's unclear is whether the artist who made it is truly trying to get a message across or not?

What I do know is that it's certainly grabbing my attention, and I'm sure it'll grab other motorists also as they make their way towards a very busy bridge in the coming weeks due to this massive overhaul downtown.
