Nature’s Weather Sensor: A Cricket
Let's travel back to a day and age before cell phones. I say this because most people now a days use them to tell time. I cannot remember the last time I actually WORE a watch. I just look at the cell. What is that circular object there you ask? A clock? Who needs them anymore, right? Well if you have one of these and a cricket, yes a cricket, you could figure out what the temperature was. Did you know that?
Yes, you could use the stopwatch on your cell. I wonder how long it will take for people to not even know what a thermometer is anymore! If you wanted to know the temp and you have a cell, you could probably check it that way too. However, pretend for a minute you didn't have any of those luxuries... if you found a cricket, and you counted his chirps over time, you could tell the temp. Crazy?
