The Oldest Dairy Queen in Minnesota Now Has New Owners!

Last summer, quite a few residents in Rochester, Minnesota, had moments of sadness...and it was all because of ice cream.  The oldest Dairy Queen in Minnesota, located at 538 N Broadway Avenue, was for sale.  While the wait ensued for a new owner, the public had to just look at the building.

2024 turned out to be one of the saddest summers for the Med City.  No cones, Peanut Buster Parfaits, or ice cream cakes were sold at the oldest Dairy Queen in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.  It was a LONG summer!

Just as I was thinking it would be another summer without a Dairy Queen on Broadway, a bit of good news surfaced.  As we all flipped the calendar to May 1st, 2025, a family in Rochester shared some good news with the community - they were the new owners of the oldest Dairy Queen in Minnesota!
