A LOT of time and hard work has gone into making our roads safer from people driving under the influence. One of those keeping 'em that way is Olmsted County Deputy Justin Kotajarvi, and he was just awarded for it!

In fact, he won the Hat Trick award for making three DWI arrests in one shift. Love hockey, love the award.

Anyway, according to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Department Facebook page, Deputy Kotajarvi was on duty on December 28, 2018, when he made the three arrests. Thing is, it's his second time earning the recognition! One more and it'll be a hat trick hat trick!

The Sheriff's department said,

It is important to note that this is not a contest, rather a Hat Trick is recognition of a task that is not easy to accomplish. Arresting one impaired driver is a lot of work, two in one shift is commendable, three requires a special level of dedication that says, #NeverGiveUp.

This is very cool. Thank you, Deputy Kotajarvi!
