Open House Set For New Rochester Fire Station

The Rochester Fire Department is inviting the public to commemorate the grand opening of the City of Rochester’s new fire station #2 on Thursday October 15th, 2015. The open house will begin at 5pm with opening remarks by Fire Chief Greg Martin. Following remarks from public officials, tours of the fire station will be offered through 7pm.

The Station opened for service this summer and the public is invited to see the station that now servers them at 2185 Wheelock Drive NE. The new station replaces the former station located on West Silver Lake Drive NE.

Guests are invited to park in the guest parking area near the front entrance as well as along Wheelock Drive. Overflow parking is available in the lower parking area that serves the Emergency Operations Center. Questions may be directed to The Rochester Fire Department at 507-328-2800.
