Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Police Department has released the name of the man whose car crashed into a building and caught fire while he was knocked out.

Police say 32-year-old Justin Kelley of Rochester was driving at a high rate of speed early Saturday when he crashed into the rear of the building that houses the Saigon-Far East Asian Market.

Two officers arrived at the scene and discovered Kelley’s car was engulfed with flames that were being fed by natural gas from the building’s severed service line.

Kelley was still in the car and unresponsive when they pulled him out. The officers were able to revive him and he was taken to St. Marys Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

Two passengers were treated at the scene.

Police suspect alcohol was involved and are waiting for blood test results before deciding what charges to pursue. The preliminary damage estimate was put at $200,000.
