With thousands of businesses across the state closed to help avoid the spread of COVID-19, many people are sadly left without work. However, there are companies that are not only staying open, they are also hiring a large number of people. USPS is looking to fill more than 1,000 positions across Minnesota.

Multiple positions are available throughout the state with hourly wages range from $13.53 to $18.56 per hour. Both indoor and outdoor work is available. Depending on the location and type of work, opportunities may exist on all three shifts. Many entry-level positions offer paid holidays, paid time off, and health insurance.

USPS isn't the only company hiring. In fact, nearly 4,000 job openings were posted last week on CareerForceMN.com. Jobs in the health care industry accounted for 23% of all new jobs posted, with hospitals and nursing homes having the largest demand for workers. In addition to health care operations, many other businesses providing essential goods and services are hiring - grocery stores, pharmacies, transportation and delivery services, banks, child care, and food production, and more.
