The Republican-endorsed candidate for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Democrat Al Franken visited Rochester this week in an effort to drum up support for her campaign. Karin Housley has represented an area of east-central Minnesota in the State Senate and is focusing her campaign on defeating Democrat Tina Smith, who was appointed by Governor Mark Dayton to represent Minnesota until voters decide this November who should finish out the final two years of Franken’s term in office.

During the Rochester visit, Housley stopped at the KROC-AM studio and spoke with Andy Brownell about her background and her views on various issues she would likely face if Minnesota voters send her to Washington D.C. next year. Watch the video below for the entire interview.
