Rochester dog park may relocate; 3rd one may be added

The Rochester Parks Department is considering relocating one of the city’s dog parks and opening a third.

Department spokesman Mike Nigbur says a planned road project is expected to impact the existing dog park along West Circle Drive near the Northern Hills golf course. Nigbur says a relocation site in the area of Gibbs School is under consideration. If the relocation plan is approved, the move could be made next year. Nigbur also says a third dog park is also being considered for a site near the Rec Center.
