Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A man who has served prison time for a drunk driving conviction was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of DUI - after backing into a Rochester police car.

The incident happened around 2:30 AM Saturday in the 3rd St SW parking ramp while an officer was on patrol.

A spokesman says 39-year-old Donta Dolton of Byron refused to be tested for alcohol. The spokesman says Dolton is also expected to be charged with driving without a license.

Court records show he has been convicted of six DUI-related charges since 2002.

His most recent case was in 2016 when he was caught driving in Rochester with a blood/alcohol concentration of .21. That conviction resulted in a 57-month prison sentence.
