Free Dance Party Happening Every Monday In Downtown Rochester

It's fun, it's exciting, and it is a big 'ol party that is happening in downtown Rochester every Monday night!

Zumba on the Plaza is such a fun dance party that happens every Monday night in downtown Rochester.  It is free.  There are amazing instructors (who are just the nicest people!) that lead the group.  And...it is just the perfect place to dance, have fun, and meet some new friends.

Now, you may be saying, "But I don't dance" or "I have two left feet".  Honestly, it doesn't matter if you know how to dance or know the moves.  The goal is to move and have fun, and that is what the instructors help make happen.

"You know how when you go to a concert and there is a different, higher intensity, energy than when you listen to the same music at home? Zumba on the Plaza is like that. Zumba is already fun, but the energy on the Plaza is something different, more exciting! I LOVE teaching all of my Zumba classes, big or small, but I look forward to the energy of Zumba on the Plaza all year long. It's open to everyone, so we aren't bound to separate gyms. It's almost like a reunion seeing everyone from all over the city again, and as instructors its one of the few times we all are able to get together and dance together. It's just something very special!" - Jaime Swift, Zumba Instructor

Sara McNeilus, the organizer of the event, said  "Zumba on the Plaza has become more than just an outdoor fitness class. Over the last 6 years, it's become an anticipated summer tradition."  She is so thankful for those that have sponsored this event too because they have helped make this free event possible - CWS, Inc., Home Federal Savings Bank, Essence Skin Clinic, and Urban MN.
