Rochester Man Seriously Hurt In Early Morning Crash
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man suffered serious injuries early Tuesday after crashing his vehicle in rural Olmsted County and it appears a medical issue was involved.
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Lt. Lee Rossman says a witness saw the SUV leave the road and go into a ditch in the area of 18th Ave and Crimson Ridge Dr. NW around 1:30.
Deputies arrived and discovered the vehicle had struck some trees in the backyard of a residence in the 5900 block of 13 Ave NW before coming to a stop.
The driver - identified as 40-year-old Scott Tukau - was unresponsive. Rossman says he had suffered a serious head injury and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Rossman says it’s suspected he had suffered an unknown medical issue prior to the crash.
