Rochester Police Busy Investigating Stabbing – Assault – Robbery
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police say the victim of a weekend stabbing has not been cooperating with investigators.
A spokesman says the 36-year-old man was brought to the St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room around 9:30 Saturday morning with multiple stab wounds to his abdomen. Officials say he was rushed into emergency surgery and is expected to survive. The victim has yet to tell police who was responsible for his injuries or where the stabbing occurred.
Two people were arrested after an 18-year-old woman reported that she had been assaulted at Slatterly Park in the southeast Rochester Sunday night. A Rochester Police spokesman says 18-year-old Luis Aguilera and 18-year-old Breannah McKee are being held on a first-degree aggravated robbery, felony assault and other charges.
The teenage victim showed up at St. Mary’s Hospital around 10 o’clock Sunday night to be treated for injuries she suffered in an assault that occurred about an hour earlier. She told police she had gone with the two suspects in a car to purchase some marijuana and when they arrived at the park to smoke the pot, the young man pulled out a gun and ordered her out of the vehicle. A group of people then arrived and assaulted the young woman after pulling her from the car.
She told investigators she believes the assault is connected to a dispute with another person involving issues with a guy.
Rochester police are looking for two men accused of robbing a couple at knife point late Sunday night.
The victims told police they had eaten at the Perkins restaurant in the 400 block of 6th Avenue Northwest and were walking to their car in the southwest corner of the parking lot when they were confronted by two men who jumped out from behind a tree. The man demanded the 20-year-old woman’s purse and threatened her with a knife when she refused to surrender it. Both men fled after they wrestled the purse away from the victims.
The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m.
