Rochester Police Investigating Possible Murder-Suicide

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Police are investigating what appears to have been a murder-suicide.

Police Captain Casey Moilanen says officers responded to reports of a possible suicide at a residence in the 1500 block of 8th Avenue Northwest just before 4 PM and found an 18-year-old male suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. The responding officers soon after located a 61-year-old man at the scene also suffering from what proved to be a fatal gunshot.

Captain Moilanen says the victims were a father and son.

The deaths remain under investigation, but Moilanen says preliminary information indicates there's no danger to the general public. Additional information may be released Tuesday morning.
