Rochester Police Investigating Reports of Shots Fired
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police were called to the Homestead Terrace apartment complex in the 900 block of 16th Avenue SE just after midnight Sunday after residents heard several shots.
Witnesses reported hearing what sounded like an argument just before the shots were fired. Officers found a few shell casings on the ground but it appears nothing had been hit by the bullets.
A car seen leaving the area was spotted a short while later outside a residence in the 900 block of 1st Avenue NE - after police received a report of a shot fired in that part of town. A man who had been in the vehicle went into the residence when police arrived.
The man - 21 year old Daijoun Johnson - was later arrested after investigators found a gun in the home.
