Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are investigating an armed robbery of a liquor store.

Officers were called to Joe’s Liquor near the Second Street Southwest Kwik Trip store at Monday evening and met with the owner, who was the only one there at the time of the robbery.

He told officers two men wearing ski masks and hoodies entered the store around 7:45 p.m. He says one of the men pulled out a knife and demanded money from the cash register. He says it amounted to about $900. He says both men also filled duffel bags with liquor bottles and then ran off.

The owner was not able to get a good description of the men but thought they were in their late teens or early 20s.

Police are checking the store’s surveillance system to see if the men can be identified.
